quilter's new year's resolution

One thing we try to market most in our advertising is time…at a Prairie Flower Retreat we give you time to sew, time to relax, time to get away from the every-day demands of life, time to meet new friends and time to enjoy the art of quilting with each other. A retreat is a time of refreshing, and something we all occasionally need.

But when we go back to the real world, we can feel pressured or stressed by life’s demands. Remember God has given us the way to find peace and refreshing when we need it. Acts 3:19 tells us first to repent of our sins and turn to God, so our sins will be wiped away, then times of refreshing will come from the presence of the Lord. Then Phil. 4:6 says “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. And then, “Fix your hearts and minds (think on these things) on whatever is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.” Keep putting into practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.
